Northeast Los Angeles Oldest Gang Report in 1976

This report from 1978 discusses a meeting of gangs in Northeast Los Angeles, where Echo Park, Toonerville and more came together to discuss options. This was an important event because it brought together different gangs who might not have otherwise interacted, allowing them to share information and find common ground.

While there have been many reports of violence and crime associated with gangs, it’s important to remember that not all gang members are criminals. In fact, many gangs are actually quite organized and have their own code of conduct. They can also provide support and protection for their members, which is why some people choose to join them.

Whatever your opinion on gangs may be, it’s clear that they are a very important part of the history and culture of Los Angeles. If you’re interested in learning more about them, I suggest checking out some of the documentaries listed below.
